Default Some more info.

I have some more time so I figured I’d tell you what all I’ve done and used. On the transom I used a sheet of 1 1/2” coosa and all epoxy resin. To fill the void on the outside where the old cutout for the motors were is 12 layers thick! I removed the old hatches in the back and ran the floor straight back, it’s all coosa and epoxy. I put a new tank bed in made out of Nida Core and used vinylester resin for it, I put coosa stringers across for added strength. The new gas tank I had built is a replacement 144 gallon. I ripped up the core up front where the head was and put nida core in and made the front storage bigger and ran it all together. I then decided to build my seating/livewell/battery box area in the back. I’ve built it all out of divinycell and vinylester outside then tabbed it in with epoxy. I cut the dive door in the transom for ease walking in with a tank on. I have a Stoner Bracket ready to go on if I could ever get to the painting stage. It’s been my first time using epoxy and I gotta say that stuff will make someone look like they know what they’re doing, it’s very easy to work with. I’m almost done with glassing in the boat and it’ll be time to do the cap which it’s been flipped and all the rotten core has been removed. Have all my new core cut for when I get to it.

Forgot to add a picture of my supervisor, he just relaxes all day while I’m hard at it.

Faired the whole transom, got the inside all faired and finished. Filled the two channels on the side of the floors to raise the scuppers a couple inches to make sure it’ll self bail. I’m thinking of hanging a 350 Suzuki on it, need some opinions.

Looking good....cool to see that you pulled the cap. Nice hard top. I looked at that red Sceptre and top when it was for sale a while ago. Tow Boat guy that owned it. Did you get it for less than $1500?
