The fiberglass/ paint guy told me to use a dense foam roller and the guy at the marine store talked me into a short nap roller. For my next coat, I think I will be going to the foam. Good thing I bought a good brush and learned to tip. |

Painting tips
There have been some good painting tips mentioned here. Was wondering if a better painter than myself would care to capture these and whatever else in a "Painting Stickee".

I’m not a pro at painting or Gelcoat but have managed to get thru a few projects .In doing so I found a lil trick that has helped me in sanding out a run or two .I have a bad habit of not only sanding the top of the run but also thru the area around the damn thing—I found if get some dollar store adhesive shelf paper and put it over the run I can sand off the top of the run and when it gets to the point that the run is flat with the paper and the paper it tapered a bit I can pull off the shelf paper and then fine sand without burning the surrounding area |
