eBEACH, i BLANKED OFF AND FILLED THE SCUPS WITH WEST SYSTEM YESTERDAY. i PLAN ON LETTING IT DRY A COUPLE OF MORE DAYS AND THEN DRILL IT OUT.Sorry for the caps. craig

Update-I took a peak today when I got home, seems the west did fine on the outside of the boat but on the inside the west expanded up into the recessed well area. So hopefully it wont be too awful hard to sand off after I drill it out. I actually think its going to work out pretty good.

Steve's had that problem because nobody SEALED it. Once sealed it was fine

This may sound a little weird...but, I'm thinking of connecting the foward two boxes on one drain line to the aft box and put a auto bilge pump in it. On my boat (23 CC twin i/o) the aft box is almost worthless anyway, it's only about 10"x18" and it does sit lower than the foward two.
I don't think any of those boxes could drain properly above the waterline.
What do you guys think?

Finster, not sure I follow you exactly but be careful that you will be able to access/clean out that drain hose connecting those 2 boxes. One rockfish scale seems to be the perfect size to clog mine and it gets annoying trying to keep them clear after awhile.

My friend gave me a great idea today. Running the fish box drain directly to a masorating pump, that pumps it straight out of the boat. I think I like it!

How about sections of large diameter hose with a quick release fitting - You can drain your compartments then clean the boat ...

Are you going to trailer or slip it?

Sorry i know this is an old thread but wondering about similar thing. i have a classic 23 and wondering if that hatch under the casting platform is insulated. not sure if it is designed for a fish box or not. mine also has a through hull thats just on the water line. Never get water in but hoping to use as a fishbox as not much room for a big cooler (for big fish). front hatch would be nice and can wash out and it drain straight out of the boat.
