that he has been working on since he bought it...

That reminds me, mine is Hull #221, which makes sense if Ken's 68 is #215. I read somewhere (Probably here) that back in the day, the year assigned was when they registered the boat, not when they built it. not that that really means anything except it may be older than we think. That's fine as long as it lasts another 30-40 years.

That is true in my title...the 21 is listed as a 1970 year. However documentation shows that it was build in 1964. Each state back then decided when it needed new revenue and then started registration process.

Bleu Bayou (aka sea mistress) is back on the water! It took a few months for me to rebuild the transom but I finally got her out for about 20 miles this weekend. I'll post some pics of the transom build next week.

There's still one near me waiting for an owner. It's in a lot in Hernando fl. Quite a project but it's in decent shape. I've considered getting it and making a big Tsunami out of it but I'm too lazy and I'm not rich enough for Todds.

Hmmmmm, Let's see
"Lazy" - Ken, you and Mel are kinda' busy keeping the power grid up and running in all of north-central Florida.
"not Rich" - If you count your wealth in friends, you got more capital than George Soros!
Just get that cook shack squared away over at Sportsman's Lodge and you'll stay our "hero".

Here's a couple more pics of 27's . . . First one is in Juno Beach area, across the street from a friend that bought a 27 Seamaster new in 1967! He ordered it without an engine or gas tank and installed the engine himself with a custom 150 gallon fuel tank to make it a good Bahamas cruiser. He blew up 2 engines (a 350 and 400 cube small blocks) before finally settling on a 454/Mercruiser II drive turning a 21" diameter prop that he claimed was relatively efficient.
