All ramps are open here on the panhandle.. I took lunch at hog town ramp in Santa Rosa Beach and the parking lot was full. About 50 trailers.. They are running people off babes that have large crowds but they will not shut our ramps because they know what a shit storm they will create for themselves... I've been steadily setting crab traps and getting ready for the flounder.. Will be cobia searching tomorrow.. Come to the panhandle and fish

Taking My wife and the kid out by ourselves on the Freeman tomorrow for a sanity break. Tuna are running early and the wife wants me to fill the freezer with hog snapper. Good to have friends that live on the water and let me have full use of a $1/2 mil boat to use while all the ramps are closed.

Well, our ramp remains open for now, but there's another issue. I don't do much weekend boating (too many people that don't know what they are doing), but I heard the waterfront was a zoo last weekend, with at least a hundred boats at the sand bar, traffic congested and trailers filling both lots and parked wherever they could. Some rigs with New York tags. Another friend of mine went out yesterday (Thursday) and said it was about the same as the weekend. A lot of businesses are closed, along with the schools and its nuts. My buddy said that he parked next to one of the campers in the lot and the guy inside stuck his head out the door, asking not to park so close, he was going to put his awning out. My buddy said, in case you didn't notice, the sign says boat trailers only.

Interesting that they have barricaded the launch ramps...I have not seen that even over here...whats the difference between people standing in lines at super markets vs people waiting to launch their boat? ....and please don't tell me one is necessary and the other is not....
