The Merc 150 is a strong and reliable motor that you will be very happy with. If they were fly by wire I would consider a pair on a repower on my boat.

The boat and motor market has certainly gotten ugly over the last few years. Less than 4 years ago my DF300AP was $18k installed with fly by wire controls and a prop. Glad I have another 2-3000 more hours to put on it before I have to worry about it.

You are so right Ken....ugly, like the whole boat market! End of 2017 the same engine and package, from the same dealer you used was $19,300, now they would look at you like you have snakes growing out of your head if you asked for those numbers!!
