Carla (65bowrider) did not have the "15" or the "27" numbers
made... The emblem she had made is the same font as the original. Could not use the "Miami, FL." on the bottom for fear of copyright infringement! These are as good as it gets.. ![]()

A good shop could cast the numbers in brass using an old one as a pattern and you could have that chrome plated.

James, When I say vectorize the image I mean it will be identical to the photo I took of your emblem. I will definitely get a price when I go to have mine produced. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel, I'd just rather go with the original look from the original catalog pictures as opposed to a new logo that was created to commemorate these boats. The ss logo with classic below just doesn't do it for me.

Islandtrader, thank you for that. Makes my friends job of vectorizing the image a whole lot easier. Also looks original - perfect.

The Lil "Scampi" has been on the back burner so to speak.
Mike managed to borrow a engine hatch from someone, we cleaned it up and made a mold from it, so now we are ready to make Mike's hatch. PS: We have a mold for Scampi hatches if the droves of Scampi owners need one. ![]() |

It's been a while since I last checked in. Here are the updates. The motor hatch has been duplicated. The motor and outdrive have arrived and should be fitted to the boat by next week. The rear seat has been reglassed to the cap. The original seats are in the process of being duplicated. The edson almag and teak wheel has been varnished. Just a few weeks out from paint. I'm leaning towards the original color at this point (someone on this forum said the color is robins egg blue). Targeting a March completion. Also have to add that that the work being done on this boat by Parker Yacht is absolutely amazing - they are true professionals (you'll see when it's done).
