I wasn't aware there was a "for sale" paid ad section on the forum. I assure everyone this was not a free publicly plug to try and sell this boat. By everyone's reaction though, looks like I'll be ripping it apart with the excavator this weekend and hauling it to the dump so I can at least use the trailer for another boat. Thanks to everyone for their expertise and advice! Maybe next time I'll come across one it better shape. Cheers all!

Marsh Bear
It is clear that you do not know what a SeaCraft hull is about and what a rare find the Seafari 20 is. The though of tearing one up rather than giving it to someone that could save her shows what kind of person you are as the rest of the crew has already said. What a shame. |

There is never drama on this board until someone comes in and trashes Seacraft boats or pokes the bear.

This site is not know for drama or nasty post but many here are friends and take up for each other. Not glad to see this thread go this way but sometimes it is unavoidable. Most people here try to avoid confrontation if possible and we do have very few threads go south like this one did. No site is perfect. Trolls are every where and sometimes fuses get short. Defiantly not one of our finest threads by no means. We try to take up for everyone especially the "crew" or very active supportive members.
Making smart coments or rude remarks especially ones directed at lead administrator will not go over well here or anywhere else no matter what site your on.

marsh bear:
hello. I am new (here), and from Savannah as well... for some reason if memory serves, is this/was this boat in Isle of Hope? I think I remember seeing it at some point.. Regardless, I am not a "Seacraft" expert, but I after owning 26 different boats to include Albemarles, Bertrams, Makos, Bluewaters, Shamrocks, Hewes, and Blackfins, I did stay at Holiday Inn Express last night, lol... For whatever this opinion may mean to you, I am happy to come look over this boat with you should you chose to keep it and restore it. I know all the "backyard" boat guys in town from paint/fiberglass to engines/electronics that can get you going in the right direction, should you chose. I am hoping you have not decided to sell because you are demoralized.. I never had a seacraft myself so I am here to learn as well.. I try to do more reading than posting as I learn the board. I have a reputation as a knowledgable, positive contributor to other brand specific boards. please PM me if you would like me to look at your boat with you if you want to keep it. I am just trying to help because I just noticed you are local. As far as putting a number on the boat, your question has been answered. These are one of the few boats I have seen that are truly worth what one is willing to pay. I am currently looking at 23 that is local that I am struggling myself to put a number on. |
