Default Is 10 inches too big?

I recently bought an Accon 10 inch pop up cleat on ebay. I thought it would look good as a single cleat on the bow of my 23' CC.(along with an accon pop up bow light) Now I am thinking maybe I should have gotten a 6 or 8 inch one instead. A 31 contender I looked at this weekend looked like it only had a single 6 inch pop up. Any thoughts on the bow cleat? How about the spring cleats, should I go with 4 or 6 inch pop ups? As for ebay, you can really score some outrageous deals. That 10" Accon cleat lists for $152 and I got it new for $26. Boatersworld also runs continuous auctions with about 200 items at any given time.
