1st annual Mid-Atlantic Seacraft Tournament
I attended the Captains meeting last night for the Tournament which starts at @0600 hrs this morning and ends tomorrow afternoon @1200 . Not certain how many boats are entered for this event but counted 6 or 8 boats and considering what the wind is blowing here (sw 15 to 25 with temps in the mid 30's to low 40's),it is not a bad turnout for a inuageral event. Art Jeffries of Air Time Sports put this Tourney together and this is his first time running an event like this.I want to say that he has done an outstanding job.I certainly enjoyed meeting some of the other sea-craft folks from my area and "Jacking my Jaws" about Seacrafts with the other guys and gals. Free seacraft t-shirts and meal at the Captains mtg was great also. Some hard-core folks here to including at least one boat with no enclosure at all, and a brand new 32'with twin 225 Opti's. (I hav'nt seen this boat yet, but am certainly going to be on the lookout for it. I know that there is at least one 20' boat fishing as well. The Striped bass fishing here is excellent now and should produce some excellent fish and the odds to win the money are pretty good. Thanx to Art of Air Time Sports for putting this together and hopefully next year I will be physically able to fish at the 2nd annual Seacraft rockfish tournament. Craig
