Default Wiring and Battery Cables

Ran across this electrical wiring supply site on thehulltruth http://bestboatwire.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=211

Anybody used Pacer Marine wire before?
Relocating the battery from rear of the boat to the console, any suggestions on the gauge of battery cable needed 8-9 foot cable (route to power posts mounted in the rear of the boat). I am thinking of #2 AWG.

JW-TEX,
I am in the middle of aredo on a 76 23'. My old battery cable was Pacer and I plan on replacing it with new Pacer cable because I am adding a Seamark bracket. I also puchsed
some duplex wire from them and had agood experience. As to the size of wire there is a program called WIRESIZER2
which will help you determine the appropiate wir . I think you can enter WIRESIZER2 in Google and it will lead you to the site. I am also in Jax so if you have any questions call 630-3114 during the day.

I just made my 2nd and 3rd order from them. $312 worth of battery cable and ends. OUCH![100ft of 1/0]

I then ordered another $800 worth of stuff.

Ok thanks guys did not want to use unknown wire brand.

CJR what side of town are you on? I am at I-95 and CR 210 south of Jax. Are you doing the work yourself or farming it out? My project is a 20 foot hull and I finally splashed it last week...I have a long way to go but it is almost fishable.

If you need a hand sometime I might be able to spare a day or two for any big projects...I would like to get to know the 23's I have never been on one.

JW
