Default 23 inboard Seacraft \"My First\" For Sale

As some of you know, i have been debating over weather or not to put this up for sale. I am buying a house and just need to get out from under the $350/month payment. Here is the link which should have most of the info:
My First

Just some basic info: I bought the boat 1 and half years ago for 16K with trailer. I build the center console, and replaced all the electronics on her. New Garmin color chartplotter, new furuno color fish finder, new standard vhf, and antennas, new rocker switches, new aft flood light, 2 new bilge pumps (2000 and 500), new 90 degree swivel rod holder, new starter, new alternator new impeller, and housing, oil changed every 100 hrs. Only put about 120 hours on it this summer.

Here are the mainly cosmetic issues: on the back of the transom there are 3 bolts that are sucking through, there must be water intrusion there, it sounds solid when you bang on it. I didn't consider it a major issue as there is no outboard hanging on the back. i did some quick patch work when i took out the leaning post to fill the holes left there. there is a soft spot on the hull cap just aft of the nav lights on the bow, due to a shotty rod holder installation (not by me). the stowage bin in front of the center console had holes in it from where a gas tank use to be, i filled and glassed the holes but never got around to grinding, fairing and making look pretty. starboard fuel tank sending unit does not work. trailer may need new bearings. Like i said i payed 16k for it and with what i have done i have at least 7k into it. I am attempting to sell for $11K. I love the ride and hate to part with her. But i am in the coast guard and buying my first house. Which means i don't make alot and i now need to get rid of the toys to make the house work. I will own a boat again and will be nothing but a Seacraft.

Elijah,
Sorry to hear you have to sell. Can't say I blame you based on the situation though. Good luck with the sale and the new house.

So many times I see sellers asking unrealistically high prices. Not this one, though. This one is a steal. You are practically giving it away.

Sorry you have to sell. We all saw the sweat that you put into the boat (as well as the coin). I remmember some of your threads with Craig and others about running the inboard.

Best of luck.

Peter

Thanks guys, i really dont want to do it, but at 27 i guess i need to scale back the toys to secure my future. I will own a seacraft again, this time after i establish myself. I am just trying to get what i owe on it and nothing more.

Elijah,
Sorry that you have to part with her. To bad there is not a way your Dad, who helped you build the Dog House would not consider going in as a partner. I admire your commitment
to your new home. I went through a divorce 7 years ago.
Gave up everything except my boats. Somehow maybe it will work out.
Good Luck, Ken

Yeah, i thought about that, buy my parents are divorced recently and he is a commercial fisherman, which we all know today is a very difficult way to make a living. My options are exhausted and just need the extra 350 a month. Thanks Ken.

By the way, i took out a personnel loan for this and i have the title in hand for both boat and trailer.
Thanks

Wow . . . That's a great deal. Just thinking out loud . . . I know how much effort you put into that boat. You're doing the responsible thing, but sometimes having the pressure of the debt stirs those creative juices which pay off in the long run. There might be ways to make the boat pay for itself . . . Are you sure you can't just get your blue card and slaughter some bass this summer or get your clam license and dig up $350 on the weekend.

Here are some more pictures as she sits right now covered and dirty inside. I left her clean but after sitting awhile and being shrink wrapped this is pretty much as bad as she will look. Oh i also have a bunch of other misc. stuff including brand new stainless 6 and 8 inch cleats, belts, tranny fluid, oil, extra anchor, etc...
