Any suggestions on the best approach for a boat cover. 20' w/ a gill bracket and no T-Top. Was hoping to avoid a custom job.
Thanks! Jim |

I too just bought one at Wallyworld, $120 I think, appear to be comparable to ones at West Marine for 2x the price however time will tell. I have bought cheap ones that lasted years and others months. I keep my boat covered under a 20 canopy too. The Florida sun is brutal though.
No doubt some more expensive ones will last longer just hard to tell. At some point you get deminishing returns for the $ though. Trailering is another ballgame though. I think I bought the G size cover for my 1968 20'SF, think it said 19-21'. It does reach over the sides fine but you do have to stretch it. It was not specific for CC boats, even said "except some CC" but fit ok, will work for what I need. I have to keep a bow rod to prop up for drainage. Heres a shot with the cover; |

I picked up a Cabella's "trail tuff" cover from ebay @ 1/2 price. It is for a 20'CC boat. I will say it fits pretty good but almost seems a little short. It may be becasue I have the high bow rail on this boat. If doing it again I would probobly seek out the 21' cover to deal with the bow rail. Other than that its nice

Excuse my ignorance, but how much more would a custom job be?

Thanks for the info....this is just to get it out of the sun not a trailering application. Boat doesn't have a bow rail or windshield so both of the fore mentioned covers sound good. I'll see what wally world and ebay have avail.

I bought the cheaper version at wallyworld, size C (19-21'), about $50-60, since I wasn't too sure it would fit. Turns out it fit my Seafari pretty well, even with the bow rail. I ran the bow line up to rail and back to light fixture on top of windshield and put a pole under it to support front section.
![]() Supported rear section with deck brush in center rod holder. ![]() I would think my windshield is about same height as windshield on a CC, although further forward, so this cover should also work on a CC.
