Re: going to South Carolina
Where in SC?? The FFM King tourney is out of Chas. that weekend so more crowded than usual. Trolling palegics is spotty past ~ 125', Kings from beach to ~ 125, good bottom fish at 180' (about 40-50 miles) Lots of good inshore now with lots of live bait in creeks, good sheepshead on structure and at jettys. www.charlestonfishing.com www.palegicnavigator.com has reports, etc.

Re: going to South Carolina
we fished beaufort this weekend and caught a whole assortment, and were never more than 20 miles offshore. dolphin, cudas, some huge spanish, some wierd fish in the jack family, bunch of BSBs, bunch of other unidentified small stuff and sharks. naturally not a single kingfish brought up to the boat (which was the intention of trip) but still a productive day on the water. get a "top spots" map and find the closest live bottom to land that you can. all the fish are in close now w/ water temp so warm. i would agree to avoid charleston w/ FFM tournament this weekend, it will be mobbed.
