Default Price Check on 1989 SeaCraft.

23' SeaCraft 1989 WA with 2003 225 hp Evinrude with approx 200 hours. Hull has custom bow pulpit, T-Top/full enclosure, elec. box, rocket launchers and standard radio/garmin plotter/fish finder. No trailer. Hull appears to be in excellent condition. Thinking about buying. Wondering what it's worth. Thanks.

About 3 weeks ago....I saw 1989 WA Tracker/Seacraft in Port St. Lucie, FL for sale w/ (I believe a )2000 225 hp Mercury, including trailer...they were asking $7600.00. It did not have hardtop//just bimini w/ enclosure..but appeared to be in nice condition. I think it was for sale for quite a while..not sure how much they actually got for it or if it sold. They kept it at a gas staion w/ for sale sign..now it is gone!!

It really depends on the condition, but the market is about as bad as it can get. I looked at 2 20' CC's on trailers for under 1500 this week. Unbelievable.
That is a similar config to my boat, except it's a WA vs a Sceptre. I would guess 6-10K. I know that is quite a range, but the condition really is the price point. The boats are a known commodity.

NADA gives a retail price on the hull between 6.2-7.1k and for the motor 6.3-7.2k. Figuring at the low retail NADA is telling me 12.5k. I know we should be looking at NADA wholesale not retail seeing it's private party and with this economy it probably won't be looked at very much before it's taken out of the water soon here in the northeast. But from what your telling me it's worth and the 17.5k their asking we have a 10k spread.

Spealing with local dealers here on the Gulf coast of Fla while helping a friend to buy a flats boat, the consensus amongst is that most used boats are selling for 40% below NADA price. Even the asking prices are 25-30% below book.

I would agree with Fr Frank. I don't know what your local market is up there, but we are awash in boats hear in FL.

check ebay. click on advance and search for sold listings. I saw a 20ft potter w/150 mercury (motor checked out and ready to fish)rebuilt transom and deck, totally rigged sell for $1950.00 with trailer. Boat looked really good. I almost cried. I can not believe it. I blame Bush. I know, I know....Nobitchin.

Just wait till all the salvage boats come up for sale from Ike, in the next 6-12 months. The market will really be flooded
