Default Walk around cuddy

Does anybody have a 23 w/a cuddy?? I have not seen any on this site. I am considering moving to that model from my Seafari, and am wondering how the cabin size compares. Any info would be well appreciated! Thanks, Mike.

I have a 23WA,I don't know how you would compare it, the cabin is not that big, but adequate to sleep two people. Other than the porta-potty, nothing there but the cushions. I don't stay overnight very often, mainly day trips.
Look here for a photo, about 10 entries down. http://www.classicseacraft.com/forum...r=66372&Forum=,All_Forums,&Words=&Searchpage=1&Limit=25&Main=642 82&Search=true&where=bodysub&Name=532&daterange=1& newerval=1&newertype=y&olderval=&oldertype=&bodypr ev=#Post66372

Thanks Gary, Just remembered that these hulls are later.............not Potter.....hence the lack of inclusion here. I would appreciate any and all discussion and information anybody can share, because I am seriously considering the purchase of an '89 and the subsequent sale of my all original '78 Seafari............Thanks in advance for any thoughts shared.......

My SeaCraft 23 WA is a 1989 model and was built in Tampa Fl as a 1989 model in 1988. It does have a TRACKER brand name on it, so it was made after Bass Tracker bought the company. I have all the original documentation some where around here. It came w/a Mercury 200 hp carbed engine and would do 44 MPH. Mine also has trim tabs, which you could get by w/o but are nice to tuck the bow down in rough water, which we have plenty of that here. They have a forward fish box between the seats and a live bait tank w/a wash down pump in the back. Since the boat is 20 years old and none of the pumps etc, work and I never used them. I removed them while I have the deck out as I have never used them and the wash down down pump was a joke. The local dealer I purchased it from had 3 in stock, 2 1988's (these went to Alaska) and one 1989. I have had mine since February 1989 and really like it. The only problem I have had is the current one in replacing the fuel tank which had considerable pitting inside and out and a leak. They ride great and handle rough water great. I had custom made soft made for the boat and just replace the plastic in the canvas.

My 23WA is working out great for my family. I like the head room in the cuddy, and 2 full size guys can lay down comfortably. The walk around is GREAT!

I have my live well functioning, and it works OK. Great deck space, but seating is minimal. The fish box between the seats is a bit small for me, so I have a 128QT Igloo cooler w/ cushion I use as a fish box, and doubles for more seating.

The down side is the Tracker wiring needs upgrading, the pumps are difficult to work on, and the hardware needs beefing up (the swim platform was only screwed to the transom, I now have it thru-bolted). Outside storage is limited, and mine only had 2 gunnel mounted rod holders, I'm in the process of adding more.

All in all I really like the boat, just need to finish doing some upgrades.
