After he passed the family was contacted, but wanted big $$$ Like, college tuition for his son... Hopefully you got it for a fair price. The one thing that threw me was the cut in the engine box was back in place from Jake's pic.. Good luck and keep tons of pics coming!

The back seat was cut out but can definitely be reglassed and restored. The 2 original parts that are missing (1) the hatch over the motor (2) the fiberglass contour seats, but I am confident that Ole and I will figure something out. I plan to incorporate the plexi bubble into the new hatch like the original. I definitely got a fair price on the boat (the lowest 4 digit number) it's just the cost of transport, a new trailer, and professional restoration that costs a bunch more. I know it will all be worth it when it's completed hopefully around January.

Mike this is great that you saved her from any further chain saw damage!
The lexan bubble can be made at a quality sign shop... Same way they pan form signs.. You have to make a mold then go from there..

Got my curiosity up I was going for the 80 but looked at the transome it looks like it has 16 holes check the Sierra sight and they have the gaskets available . To styles 16 and 22 holes . 16-1967 thru 1977 the 22 was from 1978 thru 1986 ? So I guess when they dropped the cursive script comes up????

Just checked and there are 16 holes. Thank you very much for the information. If potter boats are 1968-1980 this boat must have been built in 1971 according to the production sheet on the CSC site.

I would like to get opinions on whether my boat should have a cursive or print Seacraft logo. I suspect the boat is a 1970 or 1971. My gut tells me the print logo would be original because my other boat, a restored 20 foot seacraft, is a 1970 and has the print logo. Any thoughts?

I don't think Potter was using the print decals on his early models. Bushwacker's Seafari had a plastic plate with the logo on it. The decal on your 20 may have been added by a previous owner. These are much classier, and they honor the original designer:

Was wondering if you had contacted Scamp 815 to see if his motor cover could be used to make a mold
