Ole,

First of all, beautiful boat, I followed the rebuild thread and I know everything on the boat is top notch. And I know you do this professionally, not as a hobby.

With that said, if you add up all of those items, materials, cost of shop space/utilities, labor, your own time/experience, other intangibles, AND if you want to make any profit, that would be the price. Heck, engine/rigging and bracket must be close to $30K alone.

So, I think I understand(or are you just making a point), and I wish for you "that guy" shows up with the cash.

BTW, excluding the steering wheel could be a deal breaker

Good luck!

Lloyd

Ummmm, yea, I guess so. I forgot to list the trailer, will leave that as a negotiating tool.

Thank you both for the compliments. Yea, the steering wheel has become a topic over on THT, along with the price.
The boat will have a steering wheel, just not that particular wheel.

Beautiful boat. Good luck with the sale Ole.

Having restored several boats on my own I would say that the price is very reasonable......

Only if you are the guy doing the work and the selling, not so much for the guy buying.
Thank you for the complement "O Great SC Swami".

I think the hostility you are getting over on THT is just your reluctancy to disclose WHY you won't let go of a $500 steering wheel on a boat that costs $98,500. Clearly there must be some sentimental value and even though no one that has replied to your thread is even remotely interested in buying the boat............they just want to be nosey and hear why such a small item would kill the sale. You should make up some crazy story like you milled it yourself, by hand, from a metal that's not listed on the periodic table..............UN-OBTANIUM. You put the edson logo on it so that no one would be suspecting of it.
