Need excellent fiberglass biz for Tampa area restoration

I would appreciate if someone, based on experience, reputation, or prior threads, etc., could point me in the right direction. I live in the Tampa Bay area and have a 1985 Seacraft 23.

This is what I'd to do with the boat:

1) Remove deck, and likely reconfigure compartments.

2) New fuel tank, storage compartments.

3) Finish with the best deck possible.

I may even go so far as to take this thing down to the hull and do a total project to include repainting, new t-top, electronics, etc.

Would like to find someone in Pasco, Hillsborough or Pinellas County, but would be willing to trailer as far south as Sarasota and as far north as Citrus County for an excellent result.

I used Andys Fiberglass repair on US41 in Gibsonton. Phone # 813 677 1315 He pulled my fuel tank and re glassed my stringers and did some minor hull repairs. My floor and transom are fine. I found him to be reasonable in price , and he did excellent work.

Found a good guy to rewire the boat. Pulled out a ton of old bad wires , replaced with marine grade.New switches and fuse box. Installed electronics. Excellent work.

I had a new fuel tank made , but forgot the name. Was in New Port Ritchie or near there . I can hunt it up if you want. PM me if you want me to.I'd be happy to speak with you on the phone if you wish.

For T tops , I do not have one , but have considered it and decided against , a guy in Tarpon SPrings makes the best around. Excellent quality.

You might talk to Colin or Robin at Matson SeaMount off of 50th street and Causway Blvd. about your tank. They do a great job and will put an extra pick-up in there to put a pump ball on and every 3 months you can pump out the crud you either bought or made in the tank. They weld all the aluminum boats back together when the "Barney Fifes" over at McDill run into pilings while they are patrolling for the bad guys.

The guys in Tarpon Springs are "Quality Tee Tops", I believe. They are very good.

I'm using a fellow who is out in Highpoint (near the St. Pete / Clearwater airport) to help me re-do my 25 Bertram. Everyone who has seen the boat say "sheet, that guy knows what he is doing". I thought I knew all about fiberglass - I was in kindergarden! His name is Steve Quinneville and his phone numer is 727-365-3210. He worked for Ross Yacht, Intrepid, and those guys in Tampa that built the 6 prototype SEAL boats. Believe it or not, he makes the original Bertram work look a little "Bayliner-ly".

It is actually Seamount-Mattson at 813-248-8265

Why not try and do it yourself....plus the satisfaction when you are done!
Remember its a boat so it doesn't have to be perfect!

Andy's fiberglass is no longer on US41, closed. For sure Mattson's is the place to go for your tank. Spend the extra money and get the heavier gauge aluminum.

Thanks for all the responses. As to the suggestion that I do it myself, been there and done that. Unfortunately, don't have time for a project this time around.
