An unusual calm day on Lake Erie.Beautiful picture of a very nice looking Seacraft floating on her lines. She sure is pretty. Very nice.

Where abouts on Erie are you? I'm over on Lake Ontario.

ok,now I remember,we met briefly when you were leaving the campground.

Fishing's been horrible on the western end.We just returned from 10 days of fishing out of Olcott, and in my 25 years of fishing there,it was the worst I can remember.
We did manage to win one of the small tournaments though(the fish odyssey)with a 27.6 pound salmon, which gave us $600.00.
We were in the LOC tournament as well, and that fish was 10th,then 12th,14th,19th,and finally gone, out of the money.$25,000.00 would be nice....one of these years

Fishing wise,No one is doing well there this year, don't know if it was the long weirdly cold winter and spring, the cool summer,or what, but the lake is all screwed up.We had inshore water temps of 40 degrees.Had to run out 14 miles to 500' to find warmer water, and even then it was 63 deg. on the surface and 59 degrees down to 80'.The lake never set up,constant winds were flipping the lake.
we had 8 to 10 footers the first two days we got there, couldn't go out.
When seasoned charter captains are only catching three or four fish a day(and small ones at that)you know somethings not right.

Should have gone walleye fishing on Erie.

just get a hold of me anytime you need Walleye info. We live in Fairview, just west of Erie. Walleye fishing this year was just awesome. They are still catching them . 60-65 FOW south side of first trench. Off walnut creek launch in Fairview
