1985 23' Seacraft Sceptre Project
1985 Seacraft 23' Sceptre w/ twin 1985 140HP Evinrudes & aluminum trailer. Too many boats. I have acquired a 1976 Seacraft 23' Inboard and do not have the time to work on this project. Bennett trim tabs, Hynautic steering, solid floor, transom appears solid, original motors supposedly have good compression (haven't checked, but not locked up, needs carb work, was going to repower), needs new fuel intake. It had been sitting for a while when I picked it up. Needs a through cleaning, which I may try to do if time permits. Hull appears solid except for the front nose cap is soft where pulpit was mounted. $2000

Thank you to the members who have expressed interest. I'd like to make some room and start working on the inboard, so if your interested, let me know. I have another basically stock 1974 Seafari 4.3 Mercruiser I/O that I need to post also.
Thanks. Barry |

I have that exact trailer, a 1979 era.......67" axles. I think it is original to my 79 Sceptre. It's quite narrow and gets sway when it's not tied down. I actually had to add 120 lbs of playground sand sealed in PVC pipes strapped to the frame to get the trailer to sink at the ramp. Now it's perfect, but what a PIA when I first got it.

Zutt, I've been communicating with a couple club members about the purchase, but the boat is still for sale. Had another inquiry from Hawaii, but that seems like a major undertaking to get it there.
