Default 2002 23 ft seacraft cracks in hull

Hello all looking for some input. Have the opportunity to purchase a 2002 23 seacraft for a very low price through the marina i work at. The boat has been rack kept for the last 10 years and not used more then a few times a year . Inside the boat there are very few stress cracks and none that look concerning to me. On the outside of the hull on both sides of the boat where the stringer meets the side there are vertical cracks as well as on transom between the trim tab and the engine. There are a few places on the chines where there are spider cracks and a handful of stress cracks in variable places. I have gone through every compartment and access plate with flashlights attempting to see cracks inside the boat and have not seen any other then a few in the in deck livewell. Apparently the boat has been cracked on the hull since its been at the marina 10 years. Any help would be much appreciated thanks

Read this thread (us old timers will remember)

After reading, use your brains and then consider getting a professional survey before you purchase.

PS: I remember my cousins 24' SilverHawk was dropped off the forklift at a very prominent marina here in South Florida.
Guess how the Marina answered "We Dont' Know Nothin" about it, but guess what "we had eye witnesses......"

I vaguely remember a few seacraft that were newer models that had some lamination ands cracking issues.. I would steer clear of a compromised hull..just my 2cents

Thanks for the replies it does possibly look like the boat may have been dropped at some point. Long story but original owner had a bunch of engine maintenance done and never paid his bill and racked up a hefty storage fee and the marina got the title and the marinas owners sons would use the boat in the summer so it was never really taken care of well the last 10 years sitting in the sun on a top rack. I am trying to find someone reputable in the fiberglass world to take a look at it in the Annapolis MD area. Boat runs great and really hoping it's not too much work to get it going. Say the boat was somehow dropped would it make sense that all the cracks are where the stringers meet the hull. Thanks in advance

Chuck, that's Gigalo's Silver Hawk that also hit a channel marker, right?? Even a well built Silver Hawk can't survive that stuff.

Hard to venture a guess without pics.

Vertical stress cracks should not exist.

Call F&S boat works and ask if they can recommend a good glass guy / surveyer.
The owner is an old seacraft guy.
