Default In floor baitwell 2005 seacraft 23 cc

Very pumped to have Just purchased new to me 2005 seacraft 23. Generally in great shape but still figuring out some of the features and systems. Is there any way to get an operators manual? Would really appreciate some input on how the fill and pump out of the in deck bait well works. Boats currently on the trailer at my house and I won’t have time to get it in the water for at least a few days. Appears filling requires removing floor hatch between the bait well and transom and opening valve to through hull inlet through bottom hull. Is this correct? This seems combersom and could cause major problem if valve was accedntly left open could this flood the boat? Maybe it’s designed so water only goes to certain height such as water line. Orr part of question is how is water drained out? Viewing plumbing appears the water is removed by pumping out. In my boat appears that pump is just not working. There is a switch labeled “bait well pump out” but when pulled down nothing happens. All other switches/pumps seem to work. I have pictures I could post if that helps.

I have a ‘98 with the same in floor live well as you have. Mine has a pump to fill the well and also the thru hull fill in the bilge. I have two switches on the dash, one for fill and the other for draining. I think the thru hull fill will only allow water to fill to the water level outside the boat which should be below deck level. I have never opened mine on the water.

Thanks for the input bigtahuna! I appreciate it. Looking forward to getting the boat in the water and checking the bait well system out.

its the same as on my 21 ...Has a seacock through hull that you open and then turn on the pump that is attached to it to fill the well...there is another pump that is at the bottom of the well to pump out the well when you want to empty it...then there is a plug higher up in the well that you can pull out to keep the water level up to that plug drain...you can use it many ways...the only PITA is the well fills with water after it rains and you have to pump it out..that seacock valve is a pain to reach so I keep mine closed and just fill mine with a bucket ...I just changed my lower pump in my well yesterday PITA tight down there...

Thanks JoeR. I like the bucket idea. Think I’ll incorporate that one
