Trim Tabs on a Seafari 20 - Yes or No?

Hi, Guys:

For those of you who have a 20 foot hull, especially a Seafari - do you recommend trim tabs? Do you think they make a big difference in ride on this hull, especially in a chop? My wife has some lady issues related to bladder prolapse, so I want to make the ride as smooth as it can be, and we frequently get a chop in Raritan Bay/lower NY Harbor where I boat. My boat is a 1972 Potter hull. Thanks for the comments in advance!

Yes - for a ton of reasons:
Able to hold plane at lower speed (less bouncing)
Easier to put bow down without over trimming engine in
Able to balance loads better
Able to level it (Port-Stbd) with beam wind/seas
Usually easier to get on plane
etc...

Even Jon Boats perform better with trim tabs !!
All boats need tabs...
You will not regret the expense or the attitude of your boats ride !!

Have had the same pair of 50 year old Bennett's on Ole' NoBones...

I’ll be putting on some electric Bennett’s.

Many guys here have stated over and over how much seafaris benefit from them. If it’s a boat it needs tabs IMO. My buddy doesn’t have them, rougher ride than needs to be.

Probably putting 18x12 on, 12x12 minimum. Don’t think 24x12 will fit but I’ll see when I get there. My boat will be trolling most of the time. Needs more tabs than less. Blue heron did this awesome hull mold that he attached to his tabs to match transom.
