And after. It self bailed from the factory I'm sure, but not with the 4strokes unless you shift weight.

My ETEC is roughly same weight as uncleboo’s DF140. Shaved weight and shifted tank forward. I chose not to raise deck height and it self bails. Read a few 18 threads and you will get good info. You have pics?

Unclebok.. original have a a curve fixed motorwell that you cut off correct?

I have a totally stock 18 with a 2009 90 HP Mercury and it self bails. It has about an 1 1/2" between the scuppers and water.

does the stock have the slope motorwell that goes over the live bait tank in the floor?

I have seen pictures on here of the molded splashwell if that is what you are talking about. Do a search for that or just a google search for 18 Seacraft and I bet you will see that. Mine had a glassed-in version of that when the previous owner ran scuppers through the bottom of the hull. It would fill if you stood in the corners. I tore that out and ran them out through the transom like original. I put a lot of time into restoring the gutters and reworking that detail. I pitched the inside of the motor well to eliminate standing water and will still put ping pong balls or flaps this spring.

One more. Original gutter exits where circled. 9 or 10” splash board is new obviously. You can see the old holes in the outside corner. I think the splashwell part you mention was an option from the factory. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Yes the splashwell. Do you raise your transom to 25in and it clears the splash board tilted up?
