Can anyone tell me what kind of seacraft this is and what year?

Looks like a Seafari 20’ 70’s era. If you get hin we can probably decode it. Something like sec-xyza78 or whatever. Last 2 are typically the year I believe. If no HIN or a state issued one you may have a 72 as it was not law to have a HIN until ‘73 I believe. That’s my situation, I have a state issued HIN.

The capacity plate (by the steering wheel) will tell you about the model. My model number is a 25cio meaning 25’ console Inboard Outboard. Serial number: 25037 meaning:25’ production number 37.

I was also wondering about maybe the value of it it definitely needs work, no motor no steering wheel no seats, and other things but solid boat, gas tank looks good, just wondering thank,

Not sure how to advise you on that. Make sure you check the transom (tap test and scratch awl) check the bulkheads.

Not sure of your experience with boats forgive me if you have a lot. But pretty much double what you expect and then double that again for repairs. I didn’t expect a major project and I had a huge one. Mine was 2500?

I saw that one when it came up. I would say 500 to 1000 in that condition. Plan on a transom at the minimum. I knew going into mine that I would be doing the transom and floors plus whatever else. I traded a rifle for mine. It’s registered as a 74 but from what I’ve been able to ascertain is it’s about a 69 model.

Default A mid 70's Seafari

Sergiman-
Notice the more swept windshield than Bikecop's. I believe the swept windshield started about '74 and my '76 Seafari has it. I couldn't determine from your photo if the one in your pic has a black rubber rub rail & insert like mine. Thought I had special ordered in that way, but just noticed it was not listed on my sales order, so maybe by then it was standard. Earlier models had an aluminum piece in the rub rail which was not as energy absorbing and left damage more easily on the gunnel from piling collisions.
My transom was wet but did not show much signs of damage except the aluminum trim piece around the engine cutout did not match anymore where the horizontal piece contacts the other pieces. Another good way normally to examine the transom is to bounce up and down on the AV plate, and observe or measure deflection in the aft sheet, but with no engine can't do. Better to plan on a transom redo now or in the future. One way to postpone a transom redo is to attach an angle bracket like 2" x 2" x 1/4" on the inside of the transom from nearly stringer to stringer which has the lower engine bolts clamping it in place.
