Default Assault on the Abacos July 1st - July 8th 2023

Good afternoon pirates and scallywags-

The gauntlet has been thrown down again....A trip to Hope Town, Elbow Cay in the northern most chain of islands in the Bahamas in 2023. We have 4 boats going so far! 12 salty pirates. We would like to see 4 more boats and a total of 25 people! Airlines flying from TPA, FLL, and PBIA all use Silver Air, Bahamas Air, and others to land in Marsh Harbor - MHH on Great Abaco which is a ferry ride or CSC boat ride away from our home base in the harbor of Hope Town. Wives, girlfriends, or BOTH wives and girlfriends can take the plane ride or hop in the boat with you!! 200 Miles one way ! Plan on at least 600 miles of boating over the week. The crowning event during that week on Friday will be the Cheeseburger in Paradise 500 boat cookout, adult beverage, and sand bar chilling party!

Reservations from VRBO, Air BNB, and at least 2 other "on the island" rental companies are your conduit to book the trip. We already have the CSC home base booked and you will need to decide in quick order whether you want to be a part of the next installment of the Mother of All Gatherings in 2023! Places are already getting booked, so decide quickly. We will help you with logistics!
There is much to discuss. Let the games begin.............................If you are going, please chime in to let the other crew know which members and boats are going.

There were about 4 places that looked pretty good and were not too bad of a price and guess what. They were already booked. Seriously, I would love to go but it may be wishful thinking.

Ed - I know a couple of 27 owners who would be jealous as hell if you made it. You'd have the honor of being lead boat. Work it into a business trip!

It’s funny that the guy from Maine who has never been to the Bahamas by boat is designated the leader. With my luck, we would wind up in the Azores!
