Any Problem Relocating Drains
God I love this site...makes me spend money, tear my boat apart, etc...I gotta jump to a fishing board just to get some relief Anyway, long story short, is there a problem plugging and relocating my drain plugs approximately 3/4 inch higher then they currently are, I'll still have an angle for them to drain? HA 84 SEACRAFT YOU HAVEN’T GIVEN ENOUGH INFO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE DRAIN PLUGS IN THE DECK THAT GO STRAIGHT DOWN LIKE THE OLDER SEACRAFT OR DO THEY GO THROUGH THE TRANSOM OUT THE BACK?

Re: Any Problem Relocating Drains
Sorry, through the back of the hull. I have Raybud scuppers coveing them currently. I want to move them over about 1/4 inch and up about 3/4 of an inch. They will still fit in the small glassed in area where they are currently

HA 84
THE ONLY PROBLEM I SEE IS THAT YOU WILL BE DRILLING AND PLUGGING UP HOLES IN YOUR TRANSOM THAT CAN ALWAYS LET WATER IN IF YOU ARE NOT CARE FULL ON THE FILLING IN PART OTHER THAN THAT I DON’T SEE ANY PROBLEMS IN MOVING THEM. AS LONG IS THEY ARE FLUSH TO THE DECK ON THE INSIDE OF YOUR BOAT. FELLOW-SHIP |
