Re-power question
I just purchased a 23 center console with a straight inboard that needs a repower. The boat is not a Seacraft although I'm still waiting for a guy near me to sell his 23 SeaCraft SF Inboard...
Anyway, I am wondering if, in the process, I should convert the boat from a Pleasurecraft 351 Ford to a Mercruiser 350 MPI Horizon. I've always been partial to GM motors. The only reason I'm in question is I think the manifolds and trans are still good and dont know if I want to sink the extra dough into the boat. Still havent set a number on how much I nitend to invest in this boat. Just thought of another question... Do you guys know who has the best deals on engines in the north east? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Brett PS Its a 23 Correct Craft Fish Nautique. It seems like a very well built boat and I got it for a song... didn't even have to dance. Re: Re-power question
For inboard engines, I would try both Doug Russell Marine in Worcester, Mass and Northeast Marine in Hyannis, MA. They seem to have pretty good prices. I would also check on line and some of your local dealers.

Re: Re-power question
Welcome aboard - I like the Correct Craft too - no longer made, just the Ski Nautiques. As it is an inboard AND your waiting to get a 23 SC, just throw a fairly standard carbed 350 chebby in it.
Save the MPI / Sea Max / YANMAR for the SC
