a bit late in the game to be asking this question, but why did you cut the back end of the boat off instead of replacing the transom from the inside [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

I had no choice over the years people had done at least two other transome repairs and there was no way of me being able to leave the outside skin intact it was full of bondo and was all cracked not worth saving wish i could have will try to post more pic as i lay up the transome on molding table.
