Default Repar/modification

I am currently putting a new transom in my 73" 20'. Does anyone know what the minimum cutout width can be to accomodate a 200hp optimax. I am tring to cut out as little as possible to accomodate twin livewells.

I think your best bet is to measure the turning radius of your engine and add 3-4 inches to each side. You will need to get your steering hooked up to the engine and mount the engine to a saw horse and just measure it to be safe.
