Cordless Dremel opinions???
What do you guys think of the cordless dremel tools? Hold up long enough to work well on boat repairs and fixing all these little cracks? My boat is a good distance from any power and hate running 2 drop cords anytime I want to work on something out there. IF they don't last very long on these kinds of jobs then I'll probably just go with a plug in Dremel.
Guys have any suggestions on which dremel of the several ones they make that would serve me best? Thanks for the input!

Re: Cordless Dremel opinions???
Worthless. Someone gave me one. It is good for arts and crafts, that is about it.

Re: Cordless Dremel opinions???
I've borrowed my fathers for small tasks that it handled well but he hates it. Says it runs out of power on any significant job. Says it loud and often, partly because he doesn't hear or remember as well as he used to but mostly because he hates it and wants to make sure everyone knows it. My brother in law has a corded one that he likes but he also has another higher power one that's not a Dremmel brand that he really loves. Unfortunately, that one has no label so I can't tell you the brand but the bigger motor gives it more wieght so it skips around less.

Re: Cordless Dremel opinions???
they were giving them away free when you bought a ryobi cordless drill/driver last year. I always reach for the corded one instead, even though they are both there on the tool bench. free for a reason I guess

Re: Cordless Dremel opinions???
Borrowed a dremel with a cord and ground out pits and cracks for about 2 hours today. I have a feeling the cordless one would have given out well before I was done. My back finally told me it was time to stop. I ground out about 75 little pits where there were voids in the glass on the floor and some on the deck. Definitely going to be buying a grinding tool with a cord.
Thanks for the input guys.
