Default first seatrial 23'sceptre

hi guys splashed this weekend not to good the old 200 rude ran ok on the hose but fell on her face when you put a load on her.think its runing to fat burning alot of fuel 4gal at the dock.going to pull the carbs apart see whats going on.also took on a lot of water threw the scupers.going to soak them in oil or buy new ones.they just dont seem to seal up to good. stern bilge pump was not working due to bad wire.was woking graet in the yard murphy strikes agin.

Liquid Electrical tape is cheap and sure helps keep the wiring going along time. Ya the rubber gets old too, is it an a carbed Rude? may have a float stuck, I do have a dealer down here that is SC fan that will give some help on the phone if I ask him. He's really good at give you things to do to help figure stuff out.

thanks for the reply rude is a late 70,s going to pull and clean carbs befor i start to pick brains or be for i lose intrest.motor was given to me by a buddy for seatrial and i just dont want to melt a piston on him.but i'll see how it go's . good tip on wiring thanks

do have two pumps 1 at the stern 1 mid ship befor fuel tank.going to rewire them thanks for the reply

Also, I plug my scuppers when i am riding in the boat, and rmeove them when the boat is tied up
