Default She's got new paint

Just a quick update - with the house project going, I have not had a chance to update much here. my '84 20' SF has been at the shop for a few months (also due to house project) and Jimmy has finally repaired the floor, blasted the previous paint job (see pix above for the horror) and laid down some new color. FLY and cloud white topsides. Non skid goes down this week with a slight tint of FLY. Think she is looking sweet. Sorry for the crappy cell phone shots - my guy needs to buy a better digi cam!

Looks great mbo, the wiring is great. Love those Blue Sea products. Regarding the outriggers, I'm guessing they probably mounted them forward so they would stow cleanly laying safely right on the gunwales. Solves trailering and covering issues, and where to put them if you're not trolling. I would leave them. Access isn't an issue on a CC. And running out an extra 2 yards of line is not a problem. Looks like your ready to go

As a general rule when the outriggers are layed out the tips should be about even with the transom. If the line angle from rod tip to outrigger clip is not large enough the clips won't work as designed. Nice rig. Tight lines.

Hi Tarpun, thanks for the insight. Didn't know that. Does that mean mbo'soutriggeres should be farther aft?

just another quick one - non-skid and rubrail are on. Going down this weekend to check her out and talk through next steps.
