Question about steering???
I have a 1984 23' seacraft. I just put a 300 HPDI on it. I am having a problem where the ears of the steering ram are hitting the transom when I attempt to trim the motor up(it makes it about half way). The transom is cut down where the motor is mounted and it hits the sides where it isn't cut. Is there a certian steering ram that will clear it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Question about steering???
The ram says Hybraflex. The ears are alot longer than the seastar ones I have seen. But, It looks like the seastar would hit as well. Someone was telling me about some steering rams that mount on the 4 bolt holes in the center of the motor. But, they didn't know any brand names.
