Default Mini Season In The Keys.

Many crews were missed this year, but we had the usual suspects with and without furry hats.

Bushwacker came by the shop to see Slacker Air. His experience at Pratt had him thinking
I would deliver late and over budget. Perhaps Dr. Kevorkian was still fresh in his memory.
He kept asking me if I was bringing my tanks...

I had gotten two lines of 100ft. and as I opened them, I was overcome with VOC`s. No problem for me, but Denny chose Snuba. The hoses are NFS rated and I ran some water through them.

Bones was there with his swaging tool and I enjoyed that.

If you find yourself diving in the Keys, I highly recommend Hookas as we do them.
In the boat, not floating and rolling over.

More later.

Default Area 442!

Funny, that "CRACKER AIR" had a 442 ambiance about it. The only thing funnier is the Christiaan Barnard - Cracker Transplant "Slacker Air" GFS from "'da Cape" Rig. But what about the "Bugs", Ken?

Slacker got lucky.

I disagreed with the plan. I was wrong.

Slacker invited Cracker over.

On the last surface, I think many had three. Three were
needed.

I have a great photo sequence waiting for me.

I remember my first year.

The learning is still the best part.
Doodlebug free netted a groupah. Most impressive.

W-H-A-A-A-T,,, Was DoddleBug there too? Did he take his boat off the trailer?Through rain and Sleet and Hail - I can't believe it. I shouldn't ask but how much are the dues at the Skip and Carla yacht Club? I'm a member of the Indian Rocks Beach Ghetto Yacht Club, is that reciprocal?

Ya know Terry is my computer or what, but I have yet to see any pics!

Also, seems to me after the last three straight gatherings I've went to with at best iffy weather I'm thinking it's maybe me and my clunker SeaCraft causing the problem!! However now that we are past the "never to leave the trailer" gathering at LP this year and it looks like the Cracker gang had a great time at Skip and Carla's Key Largo Yacht Club I might be willing to try again!! Stand back SW Florida I'm not giving up that easy!!

Once we helped Sandy get the gender of his hose fittings straightened out so it conformed to Cracker Air standards, the "Slacker Air" project actually came together surprisingly well! With a smaller compressor and motor it's a bit lighter and quieter than Ken and Skip's rigs, although we're not sure yet if it'll support 2 divers. But with Doodlebug on scuba, my snuba rig, and Slacker Air, the bugs never had a chance! Thanks to Ken for putting us on a spot that was loaded with bugs, we got our limit of 18 the first day on just that one spot and called Ken to come join us so they could finish getting their quota! And thanks to SkipnCarla for hosting a great get together!
