Hermco bracket and twin Etecs
I am thinking about enclosing my transom and add a live well. In addition re powering with twin 150 Etecs. Currently have a 1999 250 Johnson.
Any thoughts on this configuration. Btw, I have a 1975 cc potter hull. Thx |

I think it would be awesome! XL Hermco here with single Yam 250 2S. Twins would be no problem and IMHO the lighter 2S would be better.

i have the same dilemna, i really want to install twin 150 e-tecs as well.....or a single 250 e-tec. my only concern would be the added weight of 2 engines on the back versus 1 but i really like the idea of twins....keep us posted as i would like to see it finished and hear the performance numbers if you convert it.....btw im converting my i/o to a bracketed outboard but will probably be later this summer before i have to make my decision

I already have a bracket and twin 150 oceanrunners. I have the motors off as I'm getting ready for paint. Just finished the new Coosa transom. I'm going with 150etecs. Currently I'm trying to find the dual binnacle and gauges to help on rigging cost. No luck yet. It'll float fine. My original scuppers went thru the deck and would take on water with 2 people on the back. Scuppers go thru the transom now. Runs 38 knots with a soaking wet and rotted transom. Bracket is not a Hermco. 28" setback
