Default Solution to ETEC Throttle Stickiness

Erebus & others- Here is an ETEC topic I eluded to recently.

http://www.etecownersgroup.com/post/...972?trail=15#8

Here is a synopsis from the above link for ETEC owners. This helps prevent stickiness/jerkiness during accelerating/decelerating causing non-seated passengers to lose balance. My 2012 ETEC did not have the rev C throttle lever.

Even though a lot of throttle motion is required to change speed on my 2012 ETEC 150HO, upgrading to the rev C lever and switching to Teleflex TFextreme cables cured my throttle stickiness/jerkiness.

For the 40 through 300 E-TEC, Evinrude came out with a new improved throttle lever that should eliminate any sticking that sometimes happens. Throttle lever assemblies (part number #5005187) not identified with the letter “C” may exhibit a sticking condition when the outboard is running at its normal operating temperature with the motor cover on.

Thank you Capt.. I know Bushwacker tried helping me through this, but the dealer had no idea of what I was trying to say. Along with the additional fuel pressure gauge, which he showed me two years ago.
