Capt Chuck- I'd love to get that white bottom paint but they dont sell it in california.

Finster- Thanks. I'm hoping it's just the motor tilted that way. The hydraulic steering lines still need to be filled and purged so I was unable to straighten the motor. Both batteries are balanced on either side of the consel and there is no reason it should list other then the motor tilted. Hopefully I'll get the boat back from the shop by the end of next week.

Strick,
Wow . . . your boat looks good in the water. Must be a great feeling to have done.

I'll bet that the starboard list is from the engine tilt. Once you tilt the engine down or straighten it out . . . the list should go away.

Yea I was in a hurry checking all the thru hulls and plumbing, washdown etc and I so happy to see that the bracket was above water that I did not even notice the list until I looked at the pics after I got home.

Miles- The leaning post is a home made special. Threw it together with a few scraps I had laying around Heres a link http://www.casdvm.com/photos/SeaCraf...st%20Livewell/

She looks beautiful. You've done an impressive job, you should be really proud of the way it came out.

Ha Strick the Boat looks really Sweet and it’s getting close to Christening her with a bottle of your favorite Beer. As for the list it’s the tilt of the motor, but even if is wasn’t once you stand on the port side of the helm where you set up the wheel it will be perfect anyway. I would call that a planned list at worst. I put my batteries, oil, and a 15 gal fresh water tank in my center consol knowing if I needed to I could move that stuff around if I needed to.

Thanks Fellowship. I have tried to keep the boat as balanced as I could along the restoration process. Both batteries are in the concel one on each side. The oil tank is in the middle of the transom cap. Has to be the dam motor but I wish that I would have checked while I was there. I did lower the motor but I dont remember checking for the list. Cant wait to get it back from the shop. They have had it for 5 days and not called as of yet. I'll bet they have not touched her yet at any rate I have a few days to work on the cc door and insert. When she is all done I'll post some pretty pic's of her before and after.

Strick-

She looks "wicked pissah." Seriously, I love it...especially the pipe work on the t-top. Is that paint or powder coat??

Keep us posted on how the bracket holds up....I still can't believe you made one!

Congrats!

Ed
