Luis,

What I was getting at is that you could have one hell of a professionally restored older 23 SeaCraft for 50K, heck you could have a real nice one for half that. But, the jury is still out on what SeaCraft will start producing now that they have moved, and with their new "mission statement" to improve quality. There have been numerous posts on this site and others that deal with major structural issues on some of the recent boats. Not all, but some. I guess all I can recommend is do your homework. Good luck..

It's a shame that that the local dealer dropped
the line because of quality issues. I won't go
into detail, but Johnny Morris ruined a once
great name.

Rich,
I couldn't afford to restore an old boat. I needed financing. The 23 offered everything that my wife and I were looking for in that size range. I hope it doesn't come out as a lemon, but we'll see. Like I said earlier, the one at the boat show looked pretty nice...granted it probably has never seen the ocean. As soon as I get the boat, we will check all fittings, connections, thru hulls, etc... I'll keep posts on here about good/bad things that turn out with the boat.

Well, I talked with another member today who said he's been to the new plant and apparently their building one hell of a good boat now....Hopefully he'll chime in on this.
Unfortunatly they've ground the name and reputation in the dirt, and thats going to be a tough up hill battle to bring back.

Finster,
I'm glad to hear that.

BPS was really going out of their way with incentives to buy. The gift card and free sea tow. Maybe this is part of trying to turns things around...or just helping them make a sale.

Luis, I have a 2003 21' that I bought new less than 2 years ago. This is my 3rd Seacraft the others were a 1969 20' CC and a 1977 23' Sceptre. Obviously I love Seacrafts and was a little concerned about quality, etc. when I decided to buy new . I love my boat and have not had any major issues. The boat seems just as solid as the others. The only problem I have had is the paint on the aluminum frames under the console and the hatch doors in the stern. Seacraft is in the process of taking care of this. I have not heard of any major problems with the 20, 21, or the 23. Good luck with yours and I think you will love it.

It's nice to see someone from the "New SeaCraft" visiting the "Classic SeaCraft" people

I think an introduction of yourself for the 1st posting would be appropriate. Are your future comments personnal (from Ron) or representing SeaCraft / Tracker

Because in the past the new has not been very coopertive with the old
I think mother Tracker found out he playing on the internet and he can't play any more! I was able to get one PM from him over on THT and sent him some pictures of the work I did to my boat....that was a few days ago and nothing since?!?

I went to the new SeaCraft web site....their contact number for SeaCraft has the same area code and phone number as Tracker Marine in Springfield.......hummmmm seems I knew it would be! LOL

Thank you for the welcome.
My comments are from myself, and I simply hope to be able to help some people out with some of the problems or issues they are having. I in no way represent the company, I am simply an employee who does the warranty repair work.If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
