just to add some info on the G-10, aka FR-4 -

these are electronics industry names for straight fiberglass (glass/resin matrix) the G-10, and FR-4 is the fire retardant fiberglass - this material is the standard for printed circuit boards, and so they have gotten all fancy high tech with the cloth selections, weaves, resins, etc, etc, etc, to insure dimensional stability over temperature, and reduce warpage, etc.

It ain't anything more than what your boat is already built from, just engineered to hell and gone.
