I would go with a leaning post with a fixed backrest, if its any help this is what I have. Personally I dont have much use for it but the wife and kids love it.

Blue,Got mine at the Keys marine flea market a few Years ago, took that long to find. Bill at smitty's has some very similar.I can go by & look to see.I'm gonna get Him to make a new cover for mine.He can match it.The most important thing is the degree of the rod holders.I wanted to be able to walk behind them when heavily Armed !
Tug
His quality is much better & cleaner than mine.

Thanks Blue, I do not have the dimensions with me but I will get them for you and post them. I dont know where you are located but if you can wait the Dania / Pro player flee market is right around the corner, alot of times you can find something there to get you buy for sometime until you have the resources to get something better. I have always had good experiences with picking up good items at fare prices.

MIA area, yeah if your in Kendall you definetly have to put the Flee market on your schedule. Keep in eye out in the Gatherings section, we are in the works of putting a S.Fla fishing tourny together for SC owners in the summer.

Hey Blue, I live in Kendall also, 137 Ave and 62nd Street. I'm going to the flea market on Friday and to the gettogether on Saturday, maybe we can carpool?
