In retrospect, the experience is a metaphor for my life, always plowing through unexpected challenges that most others avoid. As Fellowship said, I'm frequently "the only one on the river", but the rewards are, however, terrific and rewarding.

Otto,
You need to give your wife credit that she would go where
you go. That is invaluable. Not to mention the Cocker as well.
That says alot for her.
My wife loves adventure, but she would say on a trip like that, "It's OK honey I'll wait till you get back."
