My guess on the electronics would be to mount them in the box on the t top it's self if they are hard to see or too big you might be able to get one of those electronic pods and hang it from the box even with quick disconnects for the electronics it would be a pain if you needed to tilt the console in an emergency

I am going through the same problem with my inboard savage. What I did was to extend my center console in height to flush mount my electronics rather then using an electronics box in a t-top. work in progress, will post photos when back from fiberglass shop.

That seems to be the best solution. Of all the CC's I've ever been on with t-tops, those with the electronics in the box up top have always been the least user-friendly. Leaving a VHF and stereo up there is okay but your plotter/FF/radar are much easier to view and operate when flush-mounted on the console.

I do not have any performance #'s or data. I bought the boat with an "Is what it is" attitude. It's got to be more economical than the twin 200's my last boat had and thats all that really matters to me right now.

Anyway, I have already aquired a newer t-top for the boat and some rough measurements taken yesterday say it will fit. Here is my question, the existing t-top is secured to the center console allowing the whole assembly to hinge forward to access the engine. The new t-top is designed to mount to the deck. The only issues I forsee is how to run the wires for all my electronics mounted on the t-top and how to mount the t-top to the deck? I like the idea of mounting the t-top to the deck because I will be installing out riggers and possibly a radar in the near future and don't like the idea of that much weight being applied to the center console.

Try to get a hold of user RalphD. He redid a 23 inboard and I did the T-top. We mounted to the console in the front, down low and the back to the deck and put split connectors just above the deck. He runs all his wires down the front legs. I'm sure he'll send you some pictures if you want. There maybe some on site here if you do a search.
