I have two people sit on the i/o cover all the time. I think I would throw some extra support underneath anyway.

I don't think I would need a pedestal or spider - just some way to securely hold/mount the bench to the i/o cover...

The only other seating I thought about would be to use the area between the i/o cover and the narrow sides between it and the side of the boat. Putting a bench seat that is somehow held in place with bracketing installed on the side of the i/o cover and the side of the boat...

But, I prefer the i/o mounted bench...
