Old thread here but I’m about to order new glass for my windshield.

Is it confirmed that the original glass is 3/16”? If so, that’s what I’ll order. I have American Marine sending me a sample of the TP139 so I’ll fit test before I order new glass but if it is 100% true that the 3/16” fits, I’ll go ahead and get some ordered. My glass guy has the 1/4” in stock but would need to order 3/16”.

Get the same thickness just to be safe.

I am well versed at this task and can tell you 1/32 shouldn’t be an issue. There is two steps on the gaskets. First you have to remove the old glazing behind the glass and frame and replace it with foam glazing tape, install glass and then the gasket. Letting the gasket get warm in the sun helps installation as well as some weak soapy water in a spray bottle. Pm me your phone number and I’ll explain the task in more finer a detail.
