prre and post air filtration !!!!!! no rustoleum paint... it sux !! they send us that crap out here and it peels off after a few months in the salt environment ... I would find a good high temp epoxy...

What kind of filters? Who makes good hi temp epoxy paint?

as large a tank as you want to carry... the larger the tank the longer the uh ho time... as for the high temp paint look for something like a tractor / commercial engine paint... it would be designed for prolonged outdoor / sun exposure due to its intended use... as for the filter .. i'd have to do some mining on the internet... i have been looking for a pink camoflage welding shield as of late for my daughter... she is taking welding classes and her mother told her if she was in the top of the class and made all A's and B's we would buy her what she wanted..... little did my wife know that it would have to be custom made.... but if anyone comes across one let me know....

"Cracker Air" has successfully provided thousands of hours of good air supply without any storage tank!! With 100 ft. of hose out you can feel the vibration stop through the hose if the gas engine stops for what ever reason..... When that happens it is time to come up!! Was at 60 ft.. engine stopped!! Made my way back up slow and easy with enough air in the line... If you like, carry a "Spare Air" if diving more than 65 ft.. I do !!! As far as paint goes high temp engine (Ford Blue for you) or BBQ grill paint will do just fine.. As far as filters, I use the filters that are stock with the Gast pump.. About $25 a piece... I use two for the PCA10 Gast.... Keep it simple Sam!!

I would go with the 5 gallon aluminum tank. Make sure you mount it in a way that positions one of the ports at the bottom of the tank so you can drain it. Any filters are really just to protect the bore of the compressor and there isn't any dust to speak of out on the water. I'd skip the filter as it's just going to get wet and soak up water. It's nice to have a baffle in the intake tube to cut down on the noise and a snorkel to keep out water. I made mine extra long to keep it in the fresh air and avoid sucking up any CO. If you mount a muffler you can point it up at an angle and get it to blow most of the exhaust over the gunwale. I run a 100' hose to a tee and then two 50' hoses to the regs. I use small outside diameter hose as there is significant drag on the hose itself in any current.
