A boat manufacturing company called "San Juan Boats" made pop-offs of the 23' Cuddy-Nautique and Fish Nautique back in the mid-80's. We were dealers for them for one year back in 1985 at Lake Worth Boating Center in Hypoluxo. They were extremely heavily built boats, but way overpriced. As I recall, San Juan also made sailboats, but we didn't sell them.
They also made a bowrider/dual console version of the same 23' hull, but I don't think they made more than a very few of those, (like less than 10, total). With the very high freeboard, they were quite seaworthy. The all came equipped with Pleasurecraft 5.7L inboards, rated for 230, 270, or 300 hp. I understand San Juan folded in 1985 after less than 2 years making powerboats, and was under-financed from the start. I know where a 23' San Juan dual console sits in Crystal River, in fantastic shape, but sans the motor, transmission and running gear. Owner wants $4K, and hasn't budged on his price in nearly 10 years.

Good stuff, Padre.
A friend has a Fish Nautique and runs a Pleasurecraft power also. So San Juan actually used the Correct Craft molds? Guess they saw CSY take on the SeaCrafts and said "me too..." San Juan 21 and 24 are on my short list for pocket puffers, but I'm really stuck on the Montgomery 17 and 23. Just love that lap-strake cut - so salty...

I saw a haul like that in Old Saybrook CT a few years ago I think it said Bonito in the back corner.
