Yes. he boat is too heavy to use a PP traditionally, but i took one of three sections out of the PP and I use it near rocks or in shallow water when I don't want to start to motor but I do want to move around a little.

Yes, with one section removed. I don't have a polling platform above the motor so I don't need the extra length. The SC is not a great boat to pole, but I can move the boat around a little in shallow water if I want stealth. I am considering a trolling motor in the bow for 2020. The pole is also handy when drifting slowly through rocks and I need a little push to keep from bumping.
