If you look at the alternative choices for what 29k will get you, a well maintained 23SC with newer 4 stroke yamaha, looks pretty good. It would cost more than that to buy an old hull and refit it. My SC was an 85 hull and it was solid

ok, let's talk this 1984 model. who made the boats in '84? I spent 2 hours on the boat yesterday on land. zero soft spots. felt really solid. she has a 110 gallon SS tank, not sure of replacement date. boat just needs the wood trim stripped and refinished, and the floors and gunnels could use repainting. the hull has been awlgripped in 2014, not a scratch or blemish on it. Prices have jumped up a LOT in the last 2 - 3 years on 23 center consoles. Project 23cc's are listed at 10k+.

thanks for all of the input... I am just patiently waiting until I can act.. I look foward to the day I can in a nice 23, I just can't get into the newer style cookie cutter boats.
